Some of the comments on the Hanwell Centre are very dated. I have been using this centre for 30 years and have witnessed lots of changes, including the ‘grumpy’ period alluded to in some comments here. Over the past three or so years there has been radical change in ‘front of house’ people who are now endlessly patient and positive and take the time to learn ‘ frequent fliers’ names. The doctors who have joined over the past few years are excellent. It took people a long time to get over losing Dr Sahota but the current medics are warm, professional individuals who manage to give the impression that they have all the time in the world to listen!

My mother had an ultrasound appointment today and arrived home in tears. A female member of staff was extremely rude to her, asking her to clean the applied gel using her shirt and making rude gestures towards her. I shall call the clinic tomorrow in the hope of speaking to the nurse personally for an explanation.... People should not be leaving the clinic feeling like sh*t...

Credit where it is due... Josh on Reception is the friendliest person I have ever seen in the role, lovely and helpful guy. Nurse Melanie is also wonderful, called to see if I'd like an earlier appointment as she'd had a cancellation, and was warm and amazingly efficient. Thank you both. Should clarify this was ground floor, Dr Bassi's surgery.

I went today for a mammogram and was blown away how professional, friendly, caring both Reception staff were. The lady that facilitated the mammogram was very experienced and extremely considerate. It was the best mammogram experience to date and unexpected because of some of the negative reviews.

If I could give zero stars I would! Firstly, when you call in you will be speaking to the reception. Sometimes they do not pick up and when they do pick up they can be quite rude. Also booking an appointment with the doctor is very difficult you will probably have to wait at least a month for a slot. Then when you do they will push for a phone call instead of seeing you in person and this will last about 2–3 minutes max. I just don’t understand how they can possibly diagnose you through the phone by speaking for 2–3 minutes it’s not possible. The doctors will rush you and try to end the call, the impression they give is that they do not care about the patients and are there to just gain a cheque. Personally I was very ill, and asked for a sick note, I was given a phone call appointment and misdiagnosed. Then because of the unwillingness for the doctor to refer me to a specialist. I had to go out of my way to an urgent care facility where they correctly diagnosed me. And they sent a message to my doctor basically telling him to look at me and take me serious. As far as the sick note, the reception told me I would get it within 48hours and it’s been nearly two months now and I still haven’t received it, utterly disgraceful. If you are still reading this I would urge you to book with a different GP practice if possible. Because this one is shambolic and like I said they give off the impression that they do not care about you as a patient, they just want a cheque.
