1/ 5

I have been banking with Halifax for over ten years. I have always been going to Chorlton and Stretford Mall branches and the staff there is always helpful. As I moved to Sale therefore I went to Sale branch for a chaps transfer. I entered the bank at 1.53 pm, the staff at the counter started to do the process but she did not know how to do it so she went to her manager for help. The manager Anthony who was in a rush to go for a date of something, came to the counter and said that it cannot be done as they are closing in five mins and it will take half an hour to do it. Despite that I went before the closing time and I should have been served, he preferred to argue with me for the rest of the time and turned me away. The next day I went to Stretford Mall branch and the staff did the same transaction for me in 7 minutes. Clearly the Sale branch manager could not be asked to serve their clients as he is lazy and not customer focused. I wonder how come he has retained this position which he does not deserve. The other staff in Sale branch are good but this guy proved himself to be a totally waste of space. His bosses should consider him retraining on his customer skills.
