These guys were brilliant! My car was making an awful noise on my drive in and a colleague recommended this garage. I rang ahead and there was no issue with when they could see me. I didn't have to wait long before a mechanic figured out the problem and fixed it for me then and there - with no charge! All I had to do was write them a lovely review, which I was very happy to do. I'll definitely be using these guys again. Lovely service.

We're a two car family and take them both here, a Megane and a Z4. They have always been honest, very friendly to deal with and very consistent. I trust them with my car and with their appraisal of the work that needs doing. I will continue to go here. Thanks all at Halfords Ardwick Green. See you again.

That’s the second year in a row I’ve used Halfords for an mot. Half the price of Bmw. The guys are very courteous and professional, and offer good advice. You can tell they have a keen interest in the industry.

Went here for my MOT and couldn't have asked for a better service. Very professional, especially the lady in reception...very polite and knowledgeable. And yes, the car passed!

Waste of time booked in to have the air conditioning checked, got there nice and early for 08:30am as advised. The air con technician phoned in sick, no call from the branch so wasted my morning. Manager could not care less and didn't even try to help in any way to see if another store could help. Don't waste your time the staff seem like they are there for the pay day only and there is no customer service. If that's attitude I am glad I didn't take my vehicle there.

Young women please avoid! I took my car here for its MOT (this was my first MOT in Manchester and I was a bit dubious about where to go due to hearing stories about women getting mugged off before at other garages, as a 19 year old lone female I thought I would be the perfect target.) I went for Halfords as I thought as a big well known company they should be reputable. However after dropping my car off I got a call from the garage telling me they had to abort the MOT due to “excessive smoke” coming from exhaust, I was extremely confused as this is something I had never noticed nor had any of my passengers. Upon going back to the garage I was told they were unsure on the cause but the damage could cost more than the car was worth, and if I were to drive it to a garage I trusted two hours away “I had better make that the last journey the car took.” The man I spoke to was quit rude and unhelpful and told me he himself had driven the car from the parking space in to the garage and could tell the car wasn’t right just from that. Of course I left the garage in an extremely flustered and panicked state, as a student nurse I relied heavily on my car to get me to placement and to get home to visit my family. When I got home me and my flat mate took it in turns to press down the accelerator where neither of us saw any smoke. I decided to book the car in for a second opinion where the car passed all emissions tests and the only advisory’s were to do with the brakes. The garage confirmed that what I had been told at Halfords was untrue. Although I was given a refund for the MOT I still find it disgusting that garages find it acceptable to make up faults which could have potentially cost me a huge amount. On top of this the customer service I received was extremely poor and I found staff rude and unhelpful. I urge everyone (especially women) to look else where for a more reliable MOT.

Brilliant service from Dave and the tram at Halfords Autocentre in Ardwick. He was able to diagnose the issue with our car and repair it very fast and for a very reasonable price. There was excellent communication throughout the service and we really appreciate the fast repairs. Would highly recommend.
