We stayed 5 days in this hotel. The location is in the CBD and is very convenient. The receptionists were friendly. But the cleaner did not clean the room while we stayed there. We have asked the receptionists to ensure this room to be cleaned twice. Nobody showed up to clean it. We ended up to request the towels for a few days. The hotel should let the clients know if it was short of staff or other excurses . They promised to get it done however nothing happened. It should have kept us informed. We hope the hotel is able to improve this.

Hotel not bad. View good. Location good. Food good. Service NOT good. Wanted to swap a booking night 5 days out but they wouldn't let me even though they confimed their hotel was at 75% capacity on the night I wanted to swap to. They said because I booked through Qantas it has nothing to do with them, even though it is about a booking at their hotel... And they refused to contact Qantas for me. Oh well. Hopefully this bad rating will help them get over these problems for future customers.

Upon arrival we were asked to pay a $100 ‘bond’ for the room, which was not mentioned at all while booking through the Qantas website, however we obliged. First we were placed into room 130. As soon as we entered the room the beautiful view of the cracking concrete car park opposite the hotel was just the beginning of the nightmare that was the H Hotel. After walking around the room we noticed that there was mould in the picture frames and the arms of the armchair had turned from red to black due to the dirt over the years. The second room we were placed in, 202, was slightly better on first glance, however the mouldy picture frame and glorious concrete views remained. Throughout our four night stay in the room the highlights have to be four power trips caused by the hotels own iron (timed perfectly just before going out), no exhaust in the bathrooms, a loud humming coming from the fridge and one of the lights, and lastly a nicely timed waterfall sound coming from the air conditioner at 12:21 AM each day. The hotel is quite misleading as online it looks quite modern and wellkept, however this was not the case. We would highly recommend that anyone coming to Darwin stay in Cullen Bay or the Waterfront and advise anyone to give this hotel a miss.
