The only good thing about this school is the education, although teachers are unreasonable sometimes

2/ 5

The only good thing about this school is the education, although teachers are unreasonable sometimes, it will definitely get you to places. To be honest, I do not want to be in this school anymore. I've been made fun of, bullied and even yelled at when passing a group of smoking students outside of school. The amount of homework given out have literally caused me to have panic attacks and I don't even spend a lot of time with my family because of that (genuinely, no over exaggeration). I get made fun of for wearing their brown uniform, outside friends saying it looks like feces so I am always ashamed to go out in public with my uniform. It also gives us a bad impression because there are so many girls lingering around and showing anti-social behaviour, being loud on the bus and just not displaying sensible attitude. Bullying though, I must say, is the biggest issue in this school. I have friends being bullied, I am being bullied and it's just not acceptable. I am so surprised that the school sees past this. They go on and on about gentleness and dignity, when we actually don't posses any of it. Girls are put on a pedestal only to put others down (hint) and it needs to stop. If you know your child is able to overcome all of this, this is definitely a school to consider sending them to.

My time there in Gumley was a blast. Attended there for 5 years 2008 -2013. Very lovely school, that gives you many opportunities and loads of fun trips throughout the years. The teachers are very helpful and humble. The school has a good reputation and I really hope it grows with more success in the future.
