I do not normally write reviews but been to Groom For Men a few times and was truly top notch service, but today had an experience which was far from exceptable. I first called ahead to enquire if it was appointment/walk in and was told both. After I turned up I was asked if I had an appointment and explained that I was told walk in was fine, I was signed in no problems although the response and reaction made me feel like an inconvenience. After sitting down with the barber I experienced the worst attitude I have ever experienced especially as a manager in hospitality. The barber clearly looked unhappy/fed up to be there and never once cracked a smile, he got frustrated when I tried to explain the cut I was after (even though I showed a picture as I don't know the correct terminology), after beginning he made a sarcastic comment about how much product I had in my hair, to which I responded that I would leave as he treated me like such an inconvenience, his demeanour changed sharply after my remark knowing that I was not amused with the service and how I was spoken to. The remainder of the cut and was awkwardly tense as a result. I Write this in hopes the customer service will be monitored as for a £21 cut (same price in top franchises) you expect friendly, proffesional and basic human conduct. Cut was decent though, credit where it is due.
