A beautiful graveyard! The whole scary history is super interesting and it makes a cool and scary atmosphere. The whole graveyard is very clean, beautiful and stunning. All the tomb stones are super pretty. I love the fact that there’s a lot of green, plants there. To be honest I only came there to find the Tom stone where the famous Tom Riddle ( in real Tom Riddell) hidden is, but I found also a lot of other super cool things. Q: I found there a tomb stone of John Watson and has it and connection with the famous “Sherlock Holmes”?

Beautiful cemetery nestled in the heart of Edinburgh, we mainly came to visit after hearing a couple of gravestones that inspired names for the Harry Potter books. It is free to enter, it wasn't crowded during our visit, but there are large areas to roam about.

Never before been to a graveyard that also double ups as a tourist attraction. Went here specifically to find a few of the gravestones that inspired the names in Harry Potter. Good central location and has a map at the front showing where famous people are buried. For the Harry Potter gravestones though, you will need to follow a guide online as these are not listed.

The story of Bobby the little faithful loyal dog is well worth a read and the fact that it is a true story is amazing. The graveyard where the little dog now rests is well kept and full of history. Bobby the little dog shows how our animal friends truly love us. The grave yard is well worth a visit to see the little dogs grave and his masters.

Worth visiting for Harry Potter fans, but it's also a really beautiful and calming walk around the cemetery. Mysterious and creepy too with the walls made of gravestones etc. Well worth a stroll around.

Definitely worth a visit if your in Edinburgh. Some of the tombs are really magnificent. There is also the grave of Greyfriars Bobby the small dog that is said to have stayed in the grave yard after the death of his owner. People leave sticks as a tribute to the dog. There is also a statue of the dog near by also a pub named after him. The kirkyard also contains part of Edinburgh's Flodden wall. The kirkyard is easily accessible from the city centre and is a nice green space that is a window into the past with many large and magnificent tombs with statues that are quite macabre but extremely interesting.

The Kirkland has a memorial for greyfriars Bobby. It is said to be one of the most haunted places in the world with a resident poltergeist. Organised haunted walks take place through here.
