Best bread I have found in Edinburgh. Shame they are closed on mondays and tuesdays though. Very friendly staff.

Great little bakery off the beaten track. Good service and good bakery treats - recently started opening on a Sunday which is really useful!

Fantastic bakery, a real hidden treat. Purveyors of one of the finest sour dough loaf's I've had in Edinburgh (only rivalled by the sour dough at Valvona and Crolla - that's some great bread, right there) and an ever-rotating array of sweet treats, from damp squidgy cupcakes with heart-stopping quantities of icing, to crumbly, delicious chocolate and walnut cookies. There's even a "healthier" selection of cupcakes if you're trying to exercise something approaching restraint, featuring less sugar and butter and more fruit (but, ultimately, its still a cupcake - this is hardly a diet aid). Situated away from the main drag of Bruntsfield Place, Dough Re Mi is a little out of the way on Gilmore Place, but that shouldn't dissuade you - this is an excellent stop for all manner of baked goods.

Lovely wee cafe. It's very LGBTQ+ friendly but I think anything would feel comfortable there. The tea, smoothies and wraps are really tasty and reasonably priced. They do lots of fun things like craft markets and cabarets

Absolutely lovely cafe with such nice and chatty staff and delicious choices of vegan food. They also sell amazing local art from queer artists and host events. Could not recommend more :)

I can’t believe this is my local and I haven’t visited for the past 1.5 years... I blame covid. They have very good and healthy food (I tried the veg curry with couscous) and for the quality, very cheap as well! I loved the cosy homely atmosphere too but unfortunately had to have a takeaway this time. Definitely my go-to spot from now on for lunches.

I absolutely loved Kafe Kweer. The person who served us was absolutely lovely. Great atmosphere and the soup was delicious. I loved the wee gallery they have downstairs. I'll definitely be back!!
