This is hands down my favourite place to go in the whole of the UK. The styling, the atmosphere, the food, everything is absolute perfection! I’ve been for evening drinks with friends and had one of every cocktail on the menu, go for the signature Golden Pineapple, or the Singapore Sling. I’ve also been for the Sunday Roast dinner and it was honestly one of the nicest meal experience I’ve ever had.

Beautiful setting and wonderful service. Waiter was very attentive and informative about ingredients. We came for afternoon tea and had 2 vegetarian option with mocktails. Everything was so so delicious. Very varied not just sandwiches. Desserts were yummy too. We finished everything. Was a little pricey but worth it. Felt like a special occasion

Have you ever eaten in Grand Pacific ? It is a very good restaurant . Yesterday was the Boxing Day . I went there with my parents . Their waiters were all very polite . Not just waiters , but also food ! The main dishes such as turkey was delicious . At last , we ordered the Christmas dessert . There are a lot of small cakes . If I go to Grand Pacific again at Christmas holiday , I must order it again .

Delicious food. Beautiful place. Very helpful staff. Absolutely appualing COVID policy. Since lockdown easied, I have been visiting numerous restaurants throughout Manchester and this has to be the worse so far in terms of protecting staff and customers against the virus. Simply putting hand gel at the entrance will not suffice, when the volume of the music means staff and customers have to project their voices (and their germs) across the table. A lot of the time this resulting in staff coming less than 1m to us, neither of us wearing any protection!! As two people who work in a hospital, I am very disappointed that the hospitality sector are not fully on board with protecting us and the NHS. I am aware the government advice is that your staff are not required to wear a mask, but I ask you, how are your staff immune to contracting and spreading covid? They are not. Common sense would tell me they are the biggest spreaders in the community, bearing in mind the amount of people they speak to on a daily basis. We are wearing masks in hospital to protect you, so please wear them to protect us.

We had high expectations after reading the reviews, but sadly the food was not up to standard . The place it’s self is magnificent, great atmosphere and the staff excellent., but the food bland to say the least . My starter existed of cold rice with a few prawns and avocado on top , my partners was ok , he had the chicken skewers. I had for main the Korean hot plate with prawns , which you had to cook for a few minutes at the table before you ate , this was the blandest food I had eaten , it was like packet ribbon noddles with a few king prawns and a few vegetables, there was a dipping sauce which didn’t add much to the dish . I didn’t see the point off the hot plate , as the prawns came cooked , and it just made it difficult to eat as red hot 🥵. My partner had the fish which he said was ok . The portion size also was poor , I think it’s first time we have come out of a restaurant hungry, We then went to brown’s opposite and got some chips ! To be fair the waiter did knock off my main dish off the bill , and they did try and sort things out .

Took my husband to Manchester for the weekend for his birthday a few weeks back. I booked Grand Pacific for his birthday on the Saturday. It was so so stunning. I was worried it may be style no substance like just somewhere where you can take nice photos. But the food was incredible. We are both vegetarian and although there wasn't a great deal of choice, we both chose something different from each other and both meals were lush. We had 3 courses and each course was amazing. The staff were also really great - very friendly and attentive. They did a little celebration dessert for my husband as well. I really want to go back to Manchester because we had a great time but specifically want to visit Grand Pacific again. I keep looking longingly at their Instagram page. Also want to add that the prices are really reasonable. The setting is quite luxurious and the food is presented in such a nice way that it may seem like it would be quite pricey there but it's really affordable, especially as it was a special occasion.

Went to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The decor and ambience was excellent and elegant but it was very noisy and had to struggle to hear what the waiter was saying to us. Even though i had mentioned in the booking that it was for a birthday and would appreciate a slice of cake/dessert which I was happy to pay extra for as a surprise I received no acknowledgement of the request. Why ask for special requests if it will not be taken into account? The presentation of the food was very good but not as menu described it. Ordered the tiger prawn cocktail as starters but by no means were those tiny prawns anywhere close to tiger prawns. Other members of the party also ordered a prawn dish as main and we literally counted 4 small prawns in the whole dish again. Just mainly noodles in the whole dish. My family stated that no one could go wrong with creme brulee but again it was cold. I would recommend improving the taste of the food for the price. I agree it was busy given it was around the Christmas holidays but water was not even offered or replenished. No value for money.

I was attracted to Grand pacific by its interior and high ceiling. It didn’t disappoint me. Very elegant and classy renovation and interior. Warm lighting. We went there for Sunday roast. I like the prawn cocktail, it’s very fresh. Then it comes to the beef 🥩 it’s not too thin which I like it. The Yorkshire pudding was crispy. The duck fat potato was my favourite. Overall wasn’t too bad for that price. It’s £25 for 3 course Sunday roast. But I know there is something better out there. If you like taking photos and interior. This is definitely the place for you.

We had a mixed experience for our festive afternoon tea for our group of 8 today. The restaurant was virtually empty, however our service was a little disappointing. 5 of us had either fizz or champagne but yet the other 3 people weren't allowed’ to order their tea or a soft drink. Nobody properly offered or gave us the choice of when we could have our ‘1’ hot drink! Nobody described the different parts of the food we were served and the vegetarian guest had her food served on the same plates as the non veggie! One guest was given hot milk with her tea- most unusual. When we had finished, nobody cleared our plates or anything away and we stayed chatting for at least half an hour after all plates were empty. The staff were very pleasant, but those of us who wanted our tea with our cakes had to wait a little too long. It was a lovely venue and the food was nice just the overall experience wasn’t as good as I know from my usually experience of evening meals and cocktails from here. I’d appreciate someone calling me if possible. Thank you
