I am really disappointed with the service received from this surgery with regards to a private health referral. I am lucky enough to have private health care paid for by my employer, I visited the surgery and asked for a referral from my GP due to the long waiting lists on the NHS. I was advised that I would have to pay £20 for the referral letter, this was because patients with private health care clearly have enough money to be able to afford this charge. May I add I do not pay for this my employer does and why assume I have 'enough' money to fund this. This is absolutely disgusting, I have a £150 excess to pay as part of my private health care, I have opted to use my private insurance to get a quicker appointment and not drain the NHS of valuable resource. I pay my tax and NI every month but opted to not use the NHS saving them potentially thousands of pounds in treatment costs to be told that I need to pay £20 for a standard referral letter to not use the NHS. This is absolutely disgusting service, I would like to know if patients using the NHS who are referred to specialists also have to pay this £20 referral charge.

It’s definitely the worst GP I had in my entire life. No common sense is applied in this GP. There were so many issues since I moved that I don’t even know where to start. First time GP appointment was like the doctor want me to leave ASAP, she was with her purse in her shoulder the whole consultation. Rudeness is kindness at this GP, the whole crew work like like are were doing a favor for the patients! A shame how the NHS allow this people to work in such important service.

Was told I wasn't in the right area to register to GP then when I told them that my other family members that are registered were in the same area as me they turned around and said yeah you can register. Lazy service could have done a 1 min check instead of flat out saying no and two phone calls.

Absolutely appalling service. After an official complaint, countless phone calls and visits to the surgery they still can't get a prescription correct. Receptionists are not helpful in the slightest. The worse doctors surgery I have ever come across.

After having a horrible experience at Bolton A&E yesterday (Sunday) with severe eye pain and waiting for hours without possibility to rest, today I called in for an emergency appointment with GP (Monday), which I got. The lady GP was very tactful and understanding, reassuring and did all the checks she could. She provided appropriate treatment and also suggested referral to the eye specialist to check it more properly, which was a huge relief for me, that someone really cared. Always lovely polite and helpful receptionists, very pleased with the practice so far.
