Great place to visit. A shining example of how something with a dark history can be used to improve the future even though it looks nothing like what it did.

Small but nice. Although it was a bit 'emptish', I enjoyed seeing what's there. I very much enjoyed reading about the history of the building. I also liked the Domestic Bliss exhibition. The exhibitions make you think, despite the apparent 'emptiness' of the space as in not being full of "things", "stuff". I personally enjoyed the space. Also, the staff was very nice and helpful. Plus it's free.

Very nice building and good contemporary exhibitions of photographs. Some of the rooms seemed a little bit out of place (the world war exhibits for example). Free entrance, not too busy on a Thursday afternoon.

Such a small volume is available for the public in the magnificent building and inside, such a small amount of art. Worth visiting for the building itself, the library and for coffee and carrot cake in the cafe.

A beautiful building, not a great museum. I get that art is in the eye of the beholder, but the exhibits aren't exciting and the place is sparsely populated. As a local I've been a number of times and been underwhelmed, nothing seems to change. Although free at the point of use, I feel the museum provides poor value to the taxpayer and could host a much more engaging collection of exhibits of local history and art.

Iconic place and effort has been made but the building being tall and thin is an award shape with lots of stairs and small rooms. I always find modern art difficult but somehow I was expecting something better?

From the moment I walked into the foyer with its fragmented wall mirrors, I knew I would enjoy this gallery. I walked through and loved the central circular area offering a view of the various floors and the ceiling above. Artwork by children hanging from the railings on the upper floors gave a delightful feel. After looking round, I visited the library in the basement where there is also a cafe, a great place to rest for a while.
