Forrest Road post office Edinburgh – The older, bald Pakistani man at the letters till is extremely rude

1.0/ 5

Forrest Road Post Office, Edinburgh – The older, bald Pakistani man at the letters till was very rude and had no patience in explaining rates and replying questions. Maybe his patience depends on the different nationalities which he serves, as he had a greasy 20 mins smile to the woman in front of me. Once I reached and he saw where my letters were going and saw a girl, he forgot about the fake kindness at all and became very rude. He wouldn’t answer a question as a normal post person does. He would make a sarcastic comment. He threw a stamp in my face and when I asked how to put it, he wouldn’t help and he would give me angry looks while I was still at the till. So rude. I definitely won’t be sending any more letters from there, as I don’t want to get his horrible person’s attitude and manners again.

Convenience store, with a post office counter located at the back. Stocked with ample range of postage supplies. Small queue at P.O. window, but was assisted by sales clerk at the front speeding up the process.

Went in to exchange euros. My friend also exchanged after me, and the lad gently pointed out he could give us a better rate if we joined the amounts to surpass 500 pounds worth. He even reversed my first transaction and done it again for the full amount, which resulted in a 4%better rate!

I measured and weighed the size of my large letter and bought online postage. I tried to drop it off on my lunch break and the staff member said it was too large. I went to the post office in tollcross and posted it without an issue. This man is rude and intransigent for the fun of it. Looking forward to the unprofessional response from the owner:)

Not been in in a while because I no longer work nearby but the guys working in here are always friendly and whilst the place is extremely busy, they do their best in good time.
