I have been saying I have PCOS since 2013 and been told my bloods are fine every time I go, I have been suffering from the symptoms for 9 years now at my own expense. I found out I had cancer 3 years ago and last year in my year remission check PET scan it showed I do have PCOS!! Finally I had the conformation I’ve been looking for - I went back to my GP who said I can be referred for a scan at gynaecology “if u think that would help”, since then the scan shows 5 of the 6 cysts have burst and my ovary is in a pocket of blood and fluid I now need another scan but all this time my symptoms have been left untreated leaving me feeling so low about myself and struggling with constant pain. I can never speak to a doctor and never once have I had a sorry or any sort of resolution. I’ve now done loads of research and waiting on a call to inform the doctor what I need to be prescribed to treat the symptoms. It’s really bad service and while I know there is a lot of strain on the NHS atm I’ve been battling this 9 years!!

I phoned up about being in severe pain with my right shoulder and explained that I hurt it overstretching for something and that I had a problem with my left shoulder over ten years ago and required a operation to reduce my rotator cuff and that this problem with my right shoulder the pain feels the exact same I said I realise that with all the problems ongoing that even if I could get painkillers it would help I explained that paracetamol and ibuprofen do not work on me and that I had co codamol before and when asked when I said a while ago I was informed I would need to speak to a doctor and was given the 5th of March for this I do think my circumstances could have been explained to a doctor as living with pain that feels like someone turning a knife in the shoulder joint everyone you move it is a bit much

Spoke to doctor by phone. Said she was not concerned by my symptoms. I have been in pain for some months now but she did not think I needed to see doctor in person. Very reassuring. If I could change surgery I would. Will look into it after pandemic is over.
