The area we now know as the Figgate Park was originally part of the Abercorn Estate and was one of several clay pits within the area that provided clay for the local brick works and Buchan pottery in Portobello.

Beautiful walks around the woodland park.. Great place for the kids to go feed the ducks and swans and birds. Unfortunately the play park was closed and did look run down. Please get this play park upgraded and open and will be even better place to visit.
