This excellent independent hardware shop will save you many journeys to out-of-town electrical and tool suppliers for lighting and electrical fixtures, tools, audio video connectors and home/office odds and ends. The staff are knowledgable and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. If you don't know about this shop you should!

Upon going in this shop, attracted by a window display of alarm clocks, I bought one for £7.99. I decided to have a look around to see what else they stock. They have a good selection of all sorts of items: batteries, glues, cleaning materials, light bulbs, AV & IT cables, mobile accessories, locks, plumbing, electrical, hardware, hand & power tools, gadgets, torches - and they also cut keys. Although the shop is small, it has a basement with a lot of different items, all well-arranged and tidy. The shopkeeper seems knowledgeable and very willing to help. The prices seem modest. It has apparently been going in Oxford's city centre for 7 years. It looks set to continue as a handy source of bits and bobs. I think it is a worthy successor to Gills.
