Really happy with my purchase from the Evans Brighton store. I was really impressed with the customer service I received. I would like to say a massive thank you to Owen, who was not only helpful and welcoming, but kept the store open late for me when i was in a crisis and needed a quick repair. All the team were really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! One of the best customer experiences i have ever had! I will definitely be coming back.

5/ 5

I bought a Pinnacle Lithium 4 2020 from the Brighton Evans shop as my company uses them for the Cycle to work scheme. I was a little nervous as I am 52 and haven't ridden a bike for nigh on 30 years, but my phone conversation with Jamie helped reassure me. He helpfully guided me through the ordering process which I really appreciated. I intend to use the bike for the short commute from my home to work, which is only around 3 miles and almost entirely on a cycle path. As I did not know the time it would take me to reach work, I did a couple of dummy runs and was pleasantly surprised to find I could reach work in around 10 minutes. Now onto the bike, although a biking novice (biking has changed a lot since the 70's when I grew up), I found myself finding out about such things as hydraulic brakes etc. I can tell you as one who has memories of screeching pads, they are an absolute godsend. Notwithstanding speed or rain (of which there has been plenty) the brakes are both quick in response and fully effective. I have found that although the bike is relatively hefty, such is its performance, that it makes light of hard work, efficiently eating up the miles even with an oncoming gale's best efforts. I have become adept with the gear options, learning the most effective points at which to change. As an older rider, I was concerned with the comfort the saddle may offer, I must say that my initial impressions are favourable although were I on a longer trip, I may end up with a different opinion! The store could not have offered me a better level of service, fitting my preferred mudguards and lights and helping me choose the right helmet. I am very grateful, as this is often lacking in modern shops. I can't wait to try my bike in more pleasant conditions than those offered at the present time! It is a winner!

Bought a bicycle in this shop on Sunday gone and Jamie was extremely helpful, polite and professional. Although they were extremely busy he made us feel valued and really gave us good information about different bikes. Have been in 2 times since and every time I have been acknowledged and spoken to. Really nice and professional team and I will take my business there anytime. Thank you!

4/ 5

Great staff but shaky supply and stock. The people are always helpful and have given me sound advice over the years: however, when I've ordered stuff in (posh wheels and the like) the wrong thing arrives a little too often. And the in-store stock of stuff like CO2 canisters and what not can be patchy.

Every single time I need something they can't do it. Whether it's needing a new inner tube (don't have them, don't know when we will get stock) or needing a service (oh sorry I saw you booked and I forgot to call you to say we don't have any mechanics) it's not worth the hassle of trying. Go to baker Street bikes instead who are always far more helpful

The staff seem completely uninterested in helping. They NEVER have the parts needed for a repair so you'll likely have to bring them yourself and are generally just very unhelpful and even slightly arrogant. Do yourself a favour and use one of the independent stores in Brighton instead.
