Great check in process as allowed us to get our car early. Car was better than expected and had tons of features including car play which was great for navigating around scotland. The return process was also very easy as just dropped the car off in designated area and received an email later saying everything was good. Highly recommend.

Scaremongering sales tactics on insurance. Said they do not recognize any Credit Card insurance policy - this is nonsense. Was told I had to accept an 18,000 GBP deductible to get the car I had booked! I ended the conversation immediately after that ridiculous statement. I see other comments here with the same issue. Get a grip Europcar! Train your staff properly. Stop the amateur sales tactics. I rent cars frequently with no difficulty. This was a truly awful experience. Walked across the way to Hertz and had no issues whatsoever. From a marketing perspective you have failed miserably. Your company will and should understand net promoter scores - so please ask them to take this terrible procedure seriously.

Brilliant service from an employee called James at the airport branch. Second time he's served me, and both times he's given an upgrade. Friendly, speedy and gave some great advice for our birthday trip.

I'm giving Europcar 2 stars instead of 1 because the car was great. However, I am very very disappointed in and shocked by the absurdity of extra costs I had to take up for my 2-day rental. The Young driver's fee for being under 26 (I was 1 month away from being 26) is 32 GBP/day before tax. In Canada, the fee is half this amount. Similarly, the minimum insurance I had to take was 20 GBP/day before tax. The sum of these fees ended up being way higher than my car rental fee! I will probably never rent a car from Europcar again.

Long overdue review but had to be done! Hired a car from David a few months ago and it was a last min request after being let down by enterprise! David sorted a car for my family and I the same day. We needed a car with extra boot space and he managed to source a VW estate which was a dream to drive. Thank you david for making the whole process simple and easy. Will defos be back.

After a terrible experience with Easirent at Glasgow airport, we had a stress-free experience here. The staff member was very helpful and understanding , and we were off without a problem. We cannot remember his name, but the staff member worked at noon on the 15th of August - thank you again! The car was clean and ran well. The return was also swift.

I have used many car rental companies over the years and never had a problem. I usually always pay the extra to take the excess off - they have rubbed their hands about this now I’m sure. Due to covid the staff member didn’t take me to the car to access any previous damage - I wasn’t entirely happy about this as I had no time to take photos and videos of the car myself - I had to sign the form BEFORE seeing the car for any damage. I had to make Manchester for my surgery appointment so didn’t have any time to dispute it. I take a simple drive to Manchester, fill the car up once. It sat in the car park of the hotel most of the time and then I dropped it off at the Manchester airport point. The office was meant to be opened which it wasn’t. Now a month later europcar is falsely claiming damage to an alloy. I find it convenient it’s a month later and only now are notifying me of damage. It took them a month to notice damage to the car? I find it incredibly hard to believe. I think this company is taking advantage of the fact that staff aren’t showing clients to the car. They are absolute parasites and I will not allow them to falsely claim damage to the car I used. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I will never use them again and I will be telling everyone to avoid them. Please see attached quote from them saying that they are not indicating the damage was done by myself yet they are still charging me. I will be taking this to a small claims court, be warned - do not use europcar.

Europcar have falsley tried to claim my partner has damaged a car he rented and refuse to give a full breakdown of the damage, or when the repairs were done but still expect him to pay. This claim is only just now being made more than a month after he returned the car. Would not recommend in the future.
