My experience was great, the car wasn’t the best model, but it was adequate. Pick up is a bit awkward as the main office is a 10 minute walk from the car park, but that was the only issue for me. There is an office in the car park that you could report any problems, and for handing back the vehicle. Overall I found the staff efficient and friendly enough.

The primary staff and manager here were very rude and unhelpful. The credit card I originally booked with had fraud on it a month ago, so I had to get a replacement for it, and destroyed the old one, per MasterCard’s instructions. They wouldn’t accept the replacement card, and said they could only take the original, or would need proof the my current card was the replacement (which they ended not accepting when I pulled up the email about the card replacement, saying they could only take the original.) They made me completely rebook everything, which took a long time and out us behind schedule. The two desk clerks were also bickering with each other (in front of the manager too!) and paused checking us in to continue their squabble. So completely unprofessional. Also, there was an Asian traveler next to us who politely asked a clerk to speak a little more slowly as English was not her first language, and the clerk wouldn’t. I was frustrated for her - the lack of service and basic kindness was appalling. Avoid if at all possible.

DO NOT rent from this branch - it is a huge scam! They will not provide you with the opportunity to inspect your vehicle before you sign your agreement. They claim it is because it "wastes about 20 minutes." We needed to argue with them for a while to be able to do so, and when we did find damage they were visibly annoyed. We also were not given keys to inspect the inside of the vehicle. We were also not informed that the car already had a GPS, so they made us pay an additional fee for a GPS we didn't actual need. Finally, we were charged double the number of days for a young driver fee (which amounts to roughly 25% extra in charges) after returning the vehicle. This occurred even though we prepaid for our vehicle when we reserved it prior to our trip. After calling customer service, we were informed that there is nothing they can do and we have to wait a week in order to determine whether or not they will provide us with compensation for their error. Not worth the seeming low initial prices, since they will find a way to charge you for additional/erroneous fees. We also watched another patron get hit with an "oh the price just changed" by an additional 100 pounds when he was trying to pay. Stay away if you can!

As ever the absolute worst. Incredibly bad service with a never ending yarn about a broker from the USA who booked our car which they don't recognize but for £59 we can sort it for you... Also the 3 phone calls to his boss ... Fantastic acting ... I really, really wish places didn't mug off visitors like this.. it's so upsetting that this has to happen and spoils so many trip starts. I really don't think you will but I hope the owners occasionally feel ashamed.

On-site, service was as expected....but...then about a month after returning the car got an email indicating an additional charge was forthcoming as a result of damage discovered post return. This "issue" was finally resolved after several email exchanges with customer service. THEN...8 MONTHS after the rental we receive an invoice in the mail indicating an additional charge of 60.36 GBP was forthcoming to our creditcard. This is ridiculous! What is this business doing?? It appears to be a SCAM and DISREPUTABLE business. AVOID the HASSLE and the HUSSLE! UPDATE: One year later! The saga is still ongoing. Letters in the mail from collections agency, dozens of emails back and forth from numerous staff. Save yourself the annoyance. Rent from ANYONE ELSE!

Awful experience at the car return: the staff found two little scratches in the wheel rim (less than half of a inch) and I was charged of £65 for damages and £40 for procedural fees. I think this was an excessive and undue amount for a really common and little damage. I couldn't expect this kind of treatment from such a well know company.

Everything went perfect and smooth, it's 5 minutes by foot from the office to the car park. Easy to find if you follow the map they give you, no idea what people here are complaining about...
