Do not get parcels delivered here (apart from the Amazon lockers which are fine). The woman who works behind the till most days is incompetent, rude and doesn't fully understand English. I waited for 30 minutes to pick up a parcel, whilst she served other customers. Petrol price is also high even by Edinburgh standards, as others have noted.

It was really busy on a Sunday afternoon when I was there. Shop is quite small inside but had a good selection of snacks to keep us going during our journey. Fuel was priced average for the area.

They had a plentiful supply of diesel liquid which was applied to my vehicle by use of a very handy nozzled pumping mechanism. I inserted the nozzle of the pumping mechanism into the appropriate orifice of my vehicle and depressed the initiator which commenced the fuelling process. Once the tank has attained capacity the mechanism ceased operation with a satisfying mechanical clunk informing me that the endeavour had reached fruition. On the whole a thoroughly riveting experience. No pun intended.

I have quite nostalgic ties with this place having been an occasional customer here for about 60 years, since first they opened. I bought my first Esso map here for 6d (2.5p in today's money). Before that it was the station where I changed trains going from Granton Road to Barnton.
