Enterprise Rent-A-Car – Histon cambridge

The staff are really what makes the Enterprise in Histon. As a regular customer I'm really pleased that they really do get to know me and value my business. Very grateful for the pick ups and drop offs. With a full time job it can be tricky to get there and back within working hours so this is a great advantage of enterprise over other car rentals. Location is a little strange. It's behind a petrol/fuel station. There's not much space to park and manoeuvre but the staff have always been able to work around it. The service I've received there is usually outstanding. They're always training new people and it's been interesting seeing how new people progress upwards in the company. I'm particularly grateful to the management and senior members there, they've always been very helpful and have exceeded my expectation in regards to customer service. I hope the company can continue to offer such personal, caring service.

Worst experience with car rental you can imagine. At the website they claim that you can rent a car with debit card. They let you enter all the information in the online booking form and pay for the booking. But at the pick up point they will inform you that with the debit card you need proof of address and check against their database. I've been spending 4th summer in UK at the same address, working and having national insurance number, even renting a car with the same branch few years ago, yet they denied me. So basically, if you are foreigner with debit card, don't expect they will rent you a car or inform you upfront. No matter what they claim online. I plan to inform the authorities as I consider this fraud behaviour with financial impact on customer. Update: I contacted customer service at email address below, it's been more than a week without an answer. Emailed also directly the manager, no answer as well. Enterprise remains silent even while contacting them directly online. So - expect to pay for service you will never get and nobody will talk to you or refund you.

Hiring a car is something people often do with some trepidation as there are so many opportunities for (and stories about) rental companies trying to make extra money out of customers in questionable ways. By contrast, I can say that I had very much the opposite experience at Histon Enterprise. Everyone I dealt with was professional, reasonable, decent, and friendly. No one tried to rip me off or mislead me at any point. No one tried to push me to fork out for something I didn't need or want. No one tried to suggest that I had in any way damaged the car or anything like that. They were very clear and open from the start about all aspects of the rental and they were no different when I returned the car. Everything was thorough but relaxed and, crucially, consistent. As it happened, they also upgraded me at no cost to a far larger and better (and brand new) vehicle that turned out to be much better suited to my needs than the one I had booked (for six weeks). All in all, then, it was an exemplary experience of how car rental can be done effectively without any hassle or stress. I was particularly grateful to them for this as I was visiting from abroad along with two children. Thanks, guys.

There's not much that can be said about a car rental place and to be honest I did all the booking online so when I came here it was simply a matter of getting the keys and going with the rental. This place is not large and it has a petrol station in front of it and when it's busy there is a bit of manoeuvring required to get in and out the place. Having said that, Enterprise is clean and the people were super friendly. I'll definitely use them again when I'm in the market for a rental van.

Extremely pleasant staff, I had an issue with my own car, the staff here were outstanding in their approach, sympathetic to my circumstances & went out of their way to help me. I highly recommend using this branch of Enterprise.

Hired a car through the Enterprise Car club. Turned up to the location and the car had been moved. Called the ECC help desk who ran a check to find the car. They called me back 20 mins later to tell me that Enterprise (Histon, Cambridge, CB24 9LQ) had decided to take the car to their unit without telling me the customer. After paying for a taxi to pick me up and take me to the Histon unit, get the keys and set off, I was delayed by 2 hours. No apologies from the team at Histon! As I was heading to Silverstone for the MotoGP, I was on a tight schedule. The 2 hour delay meant I missed the last park and ride bus service to the circuit (a optional extra I paid for with my ticked). As a result I had to walk 3 miles to the circuit and subsequently missed all the qualifying races on day 1. When I got back I contacted Enterprise Car Club help desk to let them know what happened and they assured me the Manager at Histon would investigate and contact me to discuss this poor service. 2 weeks later a manager left a voicemail on my phone. I immediately called him back and he didn't answer. I then tried another 10 separate occasions over 2 months to call him, leaving voicemails and still he did not bother to call me back. Histon clearly have a management that are completely apathetic to customer service. I have been back and forth with the help desk whose default response is to tell me someone will get in touch in 5 working days even though they know that won't happen. I believe the delays and inconvenience I experienced as a fee paying member justified some form of compensation/refund. Especially as they ruined half the Silverstone event for me and my friends. Just absolutely shocking service and they still charged me for the full hire. Avoid Enterprise and it's car club membership, it will end up costing you more money in additional taxi fees, massive inconveniences and poor service!

Easy and inexpensive car hire. Friendly send helpful staff. Excellent vehicles in very good condition. No hassle hire. Use them every time.
