Best car rental experience I've ever had. Made the reservation with a quick phone call, all the relevant information about insurance coverage and prices, mileage (free), type of car and pick up and return details explained and the confirmed by an e-mail following the call. No payment was taken in advance. Both the car rental price and the deposit were reasonable. Pick up service was excellent - the company called us to let us know they were on their way, and called again when they arrived. Returning the car was simple and easy, the car check was fast and straight forward. Debit payment accepted, excellent. Fantastic experience, great car! Totally recommend it!

I had pretty easy and pleasant experience with Enterprise. Nice low millage car, in pristine condition. No worries over 900 miles in four days. They gave me the car 20 minutes earlier than my reservation, as I was early myself. The reason of 4 stars is the fuel. On the website it was mentioned full tank to full tank. You take it full, return it full, easy. Sadly however, I received the car with 1/8 or less fuel, even though the previous renter returned the car empty and I got informed they just went to gas station to pump fuel for me. Yet I received the car with 1/8. Why going to the petrol station to pump £5-6? It makes no sense. This was my first time driving on the left, so I was kind of worried and the first thing I needed to do is look for a petrol station. Not cool! Upon my return, I''ve been asked was everything alright, where I mentioned the fuel issue again. The lady very politely explained "yes it is written, but we do not have a fuel tank ourselves" and cannot provide full-full. I didn't bother to argue as there is no point. In my country almost all rental agencies are working the same way. But the full to full ones, are going to the gas station to pump the cars full, if the previous renter hasn't. And you receive it full. Not a single one of them offices have own fuel tank on-site. Be prepared of the possibility to receive the car with close to no fuel. And of course you need to return it with the same amount as received. If you return it with more, well your problem.

Was charged for “invisible” tire damage on return of the vehicle. On picking up the car, there was an inspection of the car by staff with a mere glance at the tires and no recommendation for us to check the tires further. It took place in very dark parking garage with the staff member using her torch to direct us towards what to look at specifically. There was no physical examination of the tires. Upon returning the vehicle, a staff member performed a physical examination of the tire where she manipulated the tire to find a tiny slit. By “invisible” I mean the damage is not visible (without physical manipulation) and therefor we had no opportunity to find upon the initial examination. The staff member even lost the “damage” and required a second physical inspection find the same slit for taking pictures. Because they were two very different inspections, there is no way of knowing the “damage” wasn’t there I’m to begin with. We had no collisions or issues on the road, which is why we’re so shocked to be charged for this bizarre finding. It’s exactly what you worry about when renting a car, being taken advantage of for things outside of your realistic control. This experience is a shame as I rented from here three times previously with great results. I spoke with their customer service and was disappointed in the lack of empathy and dismissal of what I find to be valid points - hence I took to writing a post. I guess you'll need to get gloves on and give the tires a deep tissue massage before taking a car with confidence or pay their outrageous additional coverage fees (which is probably what they are hoping this experience would result in for future hires).

Place is fine. The one member of staff that I encountered was nice. The only minor point is that the access is down a really tight ramp and could be tricky. Also the way out that I was pointed towards was back up said ramp and there was a good sized pile of vomit at the top.

Had a very poor experience at Entreprise. I have rented cars across Europe and never really felt as uncomfortable as these guys made us feel. When looking online, we found one that had excellent reviews in Glasgow but as Entreprise seemed so much cheaper we went for it. Turns out we paid in the end just as much as we would have with their competitor. Once on-site at their office in Glasgow (near the train station), they asked for excessive information on my job, employer and such,. That's a new regulation, I was surprised but complied. Why really troubled me was the way it was asked and justified: they justifications were somehow clumsy and inappropriate. The staff member we interacted with really acted very awkwardly: he was particularly unpleasant and seemed very, very anxious. He went on for so long about the car, i ended feeling Scotland might be the most dangerous place to drive through... I had never had someone being so insistent on the car's safety, and responding to his "apparent anxiety" we chose a fully comprehensive insurance which, we felt after our holidays was excessive. As stated above, I wouldn't reiterate the experience and wouldn't recommend this company.
