Elthorne Park (and it's extension) has much to commend it. From the ornamental bandstand to the winding pathways to the canal and the large black metal deer outline, this is a diverse green space worth an hour or two of your time.

It's a lovely park which is well kept for the most part.Quiet reminder for dog owners who do not pickup after their dogs is very annoying.I go early to use the exercise machines which compared to other parks are very limited, but well managed.Recommend it for anyone who wants to get outdoors.

4/ 5

A pleasant park with a variety of different areas, these include a small woodland area, a well kept maintained field, tennis courts and two playgrounds in the main area of the park. Behind the park there’s a very natural area with gravel paths and a large field for dog-walking and other recreational activities, there’s some tennis, basketball and football courts in the area behind the main park. There’s also a canal wrapping the park up which makes for some lovely morning or afternoon walks The only issue with the park is due to the children, due to the variety of playgrounds there’s a lot of children present, although a littlest less in the backside of the park, easy way to avoid it is by going early in the morning which makes for lovely walks due to the lack of people and noise or in the evening when the scenery is beautiful and during school hours although the park is occasionally packed midday In summary, good location, good local facilities, annoying children (aren’t they all), beautiful area, stunning canal, very natural
