3/ 5

Ella Bache Armidale is a very aesthetic, friendly business and the lady who did my event makeup was lovely. I really wanted to like my makeup but honestly, I was disappointed. It was done in a dark room with lights, which meant that natural lighting did not allow my makeup artist to see how heavy my foundation looked on my skin, where it overtly stopped half way down my neck and where parts were missing near my chin where her hand had rested to do my eye makeup. The smokey eyes that I had requested were very one dimensional, looking more like dark racoon eyes, which was disappointing. It was only getting into my car and with the natural light that I could truly see all of these points. Again, I really wanted to like the makeup, but ultimately I was disappointed. The price point of $55 was a steal in Armidale, however given that I was unhappy with the work, I would have preferred to just do my makeup at home myself (which is what I ended up doing when I got home). I would recommend doing makeup in natural lighting next time.

Condescending tone, because I didn't make a booking. I've been before and had a better experience, but that was 6 odd years ago. :|
