Unreliable and untrustworthy. I made a telephone booking for a full day spa package for 2 people. When asked if I was a hotel guest I confirmed no I was not, and I could pay a deposit no problem (literally had my card in hand). The receptionist said no it wasn't a problem, that was me all booked in (I could hear her typing and clicking away, so she was at something) and I could pay in full on the day. She actually re-read the booking to me, time, date, package etc. 'Look forward to seeing you then'. Fast forward a day later and I receive a call from the Spa Manager saying she had been left a note to contact me, to arrange an appointment. I said no, I had already made an appointment (at 17.51 on Wednesday 15 January to be precise lol). She asked me to confirm the date and time and she said no, another client was booked in then and there was no other availability. I asked her to double check and apparently I was wrong, no appointment had been made. In fact I should have paid a deposit to secure my booking (as if this was my fault). I left the call confused. I called back and got another girl who accused me of trying to get her into trouble (She claimed it wasn't her who took my call the previous night. I didn't say it was, calm down.) This time I was told that a hen party was booked in, and had been booked in for months. So I couldn't have made an appointment. Why did the previous receptionist I booked with not know this? Why am I being made to feel like I made the mistake? I have no idea what went wrong here, but someone needs re-trained on how to use their booking system. Serious incompetency of staff here. I do not recommend booking as you may turn up only to find there is no actual booking!!

Visited while staying at the Doubletree hotel. I was greeted by Clare who familiarised me with the facilities. I enjoyed a very relaxing hour using the steam room, the jacuzzi and pool. I will definitely use this facility the next time I stay at the hotel.

We went for a midweek treatment and we were given old and crinkly gowns, no slippers and we were asked to go bare feet when their toilets and floors weren't clean. Was not worth it at all. Was very disappointed to say the least.

3/ 5

A friend and I visited the Eforea spa for a special treat, considering we paid £90 each we weren't overly impressed. Upon booking the spa, over the phone, I made it aware of my friend's severe peanut allergy. When seated for afternoon tea, the bar staff had no idea of this, it had not been communicated to them. Luckily, we mentioned it out of caution. However, if we had not and trusted it had been communicated, my friend could have become extremely poorly. Despite the miscommunication, the afternoon tea was good. it is a shame no one mentioned to us upon booking about adding prosecco, as we'd have enjoyed that. We were told someone would come and get us to take for our treatments. However, it was obvious no one was coming, luckily we took ourselves otherwise we'd have missed them. Our treatments were amazing, the reason for the 3/5. I had a back massage, unfortunately I didn't get her name as I would have liked to give her a special mention. The facilities are nice, it is a shame there isn't enough sunbeds. A few tiles had fallen off in the hot tub, but other than that it was a nice sized spa, that wasn't overly busy.

It cost £139 for a facial and full body scrub. I got scrub just past my knees and half my back and arms. My facial should have included a head and neck massage I didn’t get that. My friend and I had a refund for the afternoon tea which was nothing like the website. Very poor I feel robbed needless to say I will not be returning.

Not as it should have been. I complained and was fully refunded. The staff insisted that the issues presented would be rectified asap. I am going back next month to see if those things have changed. I will update then.
