2/ 5

I have never been so disappointed in a place in all my life. It cost us £4 for the car park and £57 for 3 of us to get into the zoo. Where are all the animals? There were so many empty enclosures. We had all been before so knew how steep it was. There was a coach you could ring for if you needed a lift. I am 72 and get around OK, getting up was fine, coming down was not so good. Hardly any seats, refreshment places few and far between. No handrails on the very steep corners. I wonder how you go on if you have a fall! Staff were very few and far between. I think if we had not seen the panda we would have demanded our money back. If anyone is looking to go to a zoo in Scotland, then head for 5 Sisters Zoo near West Calder. They have bears, wolves, tigers, snow leopards and the otters are gorgeous. Sorry Edinburgh if that's the best you can offer you should close and not rip people off

Members gate is quick and efficient and good if you want to avoid the shop. Only slight issue is when you're trying to leave via this gate and there is a group coming in it's quite narrow.
