The team at The Gathering worked night and day to make our VERY last minute, Covid-rearranged wedding happen. We can’t thank enough. Not only did they bend over backwards to make our day perfect, their venue is incredible. Beautiful buildings and accommodation, incredible setting, quiet, secluded, clean, warm, well-equipped. Absolutely everything you could ask for and more.

What a stunning location, beautiful views, great luxury safari tents. If you think a tent is cold and damp, you haven’t been here. The antique furniture and odd non matching chairs and sofas simply add a friendly warmth to the ambiance. A great iron log burning stove crackles as the sound of the babbling stream behind your tent guarantees a great sleep. We had days of sunshine, rain and wind and loved them all. Can’t wait to go back!

We had our daughters wedding on the 1st of June and everything was perfect from the location, accommodation, owners and staff. Could not fault a thing, nothing was too much trouble and if we needed anything Tom and his Team were around to help. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful place to spend half term with our 5yo son and 4 legged friend. So many fab walks from the tent, and a stream to soothe us to sleep at night. We stayed in the tent with disabled access and hot running water, it also had a wood burning stove, shower, bath, electric blankets, hot water bottles, a gas ring for quick cuppas, and tons of hospitality from Lesley and her crew. The Rambler's Inn for dinner and Penny Pot Café for lunch were favourites for food, both easily walkable.

Amazing stay in July for our family (our children are 12 and 14 years old). The safari tent was magical - nestled in the beautiful hills of Edale with rolling hills in front and a babbling stream in the woods behind. It is so comfortable and well equipped and daily visits from Geoff and Mike topped up the firewood and gave us plenty ideas of where to go each day. No Wifi and no mobile signal in Edale meant it really was a break from the world and we loved every minute! With so many walks from Edale, a handy train station, a village shop and 2 lovely pubs in the village, the location is so convenient and you can forget about your car if you want to. The Peak District is packed with plenty of walks, lovely villages, super pubs and restaurants, activities and attractions. We highly recommend it for a family holiday.

Amazing safari tents that were warm and dry despite freezing temperatures even in May! The team were so friendly and welcoming and bent over backwards to make our weekend what we wanted it to be. Couldn't recommend the idyllic location enough. You get what you pay for and more here! We've all said we'll be back with our families in tow soon!
