Very good place to go for drinks, but I'd avoid eating here. The food is whack. Seven of us ordered all sorts of stuff across the menu and no one finished their meal. Dry burgers, hot dog slathered in rubbery coagulated cheese, vegan mac and cheese was horrible, 'chips' were like poor Mcdonalds fries. Not cheap either at about £10 per main course. Staff are nice though!

5/ 5

I was in Brighton for a few days on a Business trip and visited the Tap on the first night. Lets just say I encouraged the fact that the rest of my meetings/casual drinks should be held here. The staff were all fantastic on both nights I visited & they really make you feel at home (and I was 7 hours away from mine). I feel like I want to move to Brighton after my short but wonderful trip. The drinks are also great and there's lots of variety. If you're in Brighton for a long holiday or a short trip, go here. The music is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are the cherry on top. 10/10 recommended.

The fish in the tank upstairs are struggling to breath due to a lack of bubbles oxygenating the water. You can tell because they spend the entire time gasping for air at the surface of water. This is basic fish keeping knowledge. Unfortunately it put a downer on being there for me and I wasn’t able to fully relax and enjoy myself as it wasn’t nice knowing these creatures were suffering in the corner. I hope they can install a simple cheap and easy bubble air stone asap to give them the oxygen they need.

1/ 5

I would have liked this pub, but it is hard to get passed the fact that whilst they are serving vegan food, they have a fish tank with fish that are completely exposed and subjected to loud music. This is incredibly stressful for fish and should not happen. Vegan customers will be put off by this, veganism is far more than a diet, it is about caring for an animal's wellbeing.

Great beer, visited on Saturday then Monday, the street seating on the Saturday really enhanced the 'vibe'. They do a food offering that's 100%vegan (we didn't get to try this on our visit). Would definitely revisit when in the area again
