We booked through a 3rd party and it seems Easirent don't really have good comms with who is hiring out their cars. They couldn't see we had paid extra to reduce excess so ended up with an extra hidden cost. The guys there were nice enough but could see I was frustrated and didn't really offer anything other than "that's what it says here" Car was filthy so hard to see any damage before hand. It says you get 100 miles per day but actually in further small print you only get 300 per rental!! I had a car booked with them for the following week and swiftly cancelled it and booked with Enterprise and wow what a difference. Don't use this company!!

********UN-EasiRent******** I hired a car from Easirent from Manchester City center branch. I have pre- booked the car and paid 20GBP (Super Saver pack) on Easirent website. On Pick up: On the day I went for collecting the car, the guy at the reception asked me to pay the 220 GBP again - on top of 20 GBP which was already paid. When I asked for the reason he said that he cannot provide the car without taking their own full insurance and external excess car hire insurance are not acceptable even though I'm ready to pay 1500 GBP deposit to get their SAVER pack. After long conversations he took my credit card and without a try, he told that it will not work in their machine and again tried hardest to hard sell their own insurance. As I disagree to take their insurance, he told that he is going to cancel my booking with NO refunds and any further complaints can be directly dealt with their head office. Finally I agreed to his offer of 131 pounds as I don’t want to waste my holidays. The story doesn’t end here: He added me to RELAX package which they claim as a package with Unlimited mileage, Zero deposit etc. and when I asked the staff to reconfirm it, he said that I need to pay another 30 GBP for unlimited mileage – 10 Per Day and 200 GBP deposit. Even at their office they advertise 7.99 or 8.99 as an upgrade option to unlimited mileage. Overall there was no transparency in the amount they charge. And interestingly he took my payments from the credit card which he earlier claimed as not working. I was given a car which is NOT similar to what I have booked, and told it was immaculate and asked me wait outside in the road for their staff. It was always long traffic queue before their office in Manchester City and after few minutes their staff came with a car and quickly jumped out of it with hazard lights on and asked me to pull off the car immediately. They clearly wanted me to not inspect properly and didn’t have any records of inspection (Like yellow/red receipt). And the car was filthy and full of dust and it smelt like a dozen of sweaty workers had been in it. On Drop: During return, the same guy who handed over the car came for the pick-up and he car ask me for the yellow report which they never gave me at the time of collection. Seeing his rude attitude, I went inside office and spoke to the guy who did the documentation and he also claimed that yellow report is given to me. Then I asked them to show me the carbon copy of report which they possess. He searched all over the office and told me they clean the office during weekend and hence misplaced somewhere or might me lost. Finally I requested for a proper acknowledgement letter for the car return, that every agency normally provides and staff told there is NO proof they usually provide during return and any outstanding amount from them will be refunded back in 7 days. I never agreed to that statement and after 30 mins of argument they simply print my booking slip and wrote that car was safely returned and signed underneath (And they don’t have an office seal). It is a company full of nasty surprises and there was no transparency in the documentation and amount they charge.

BEWARE: These guys would not try my credit card and forced me to take full insurance. They charge £55 admin fee. Alamo is under £5. Car was filthy. AVOID unless you want to be ripped off.

Stay away!! Worst car company ever, didn't tell me that I need a credit card to rent the car until I got there, but accepted my debit payment. Then he said that we might actually loose the money, what a rip off

Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Worst experience ever. They would not accept a debit card to cover the deposit and tried to push me to buy their insurance. Then the said they could work something out if I put a 5 star review on Trustpilot. Then they said they would not accept a debit card and cancelled my booking. They said at the counter that they would refund but later when I phoned because I had not received it they said they were deducting 3 days because I cancelled which I did not they did. four weeks later still not had any part of the refund. When we were in there another couple were having exactly the same problem. What a poor outfit this is. Went across the road to thrifty and hired a car straight away not problem. As we were booking the other coupled from Easirent turned up and hired one as well. Thrifty said they get lots of business from failed booking at Easirent.
