The rats are a worry I have seen large ones on my last two visits to BOAT. I am not alone in this. The Pirates of Penzace performance was great. Well done to the performers ..and to the accomplished musicians. I won't be bringing my little grandchildren here unless you eradicate the rats

My favourite place in Brighton, and I walk my dog here at dawn and of an evening. The view south can be spectacular, especially if you appreciate the cloud formations and the colours of the sky. Lay on your back and look up into space: it's a humbling experience. There's lots of nature here, a good variety of wild birds. I regularly see Jays, greenfinch, goldfinch, and wrens, amongst the more common robins and blackbirds. There's even thrushes. Sure, there are a few furry friends but that's because us humans leave rubbish behind including chips, sandwiches, crisps, and sweets. There's also a few people who scatter stale bread, I've no idea why as it's no good for birds. By all means enjoy this lovely park but take your rubbish home with you and, if you can't carry it, put it in a bin.

This is a nice little park for an afternoon stroll. It's not big, so good for little ones. I guess older ones can play tennis, but not quite the same! The play area is pretty good for kids around 1-10 but some of the equipment is a bit tired. The gardens are nice for anyone wanting a potter. Also handily close to the Booth museum for an extra activity :)

1. Love the gate, compared with Hove Park playground, kids can't get out easily, good for someone like me with 2 young kids. 2. Wish the baby swings could be more at the center, it is a bit far for my baby in the swing when my older son at the sand pit, a bit of blind spot, not easy to keep an eye on him. Hove Park is currently closed for 4 weeks during renovation. Our kids prefer Peter Pan playground but it is a big too far for us This Dyke Park is a good alternate for us nearby.

Lovely little park and our grandson really enjoys the sand play area. The swings are his favourite but there are only 2 so there's often a need to wait.
