Great location, perfect for climbing the peaks. Breakfast was very filling, just what you needed before doing the peaks, owner if you ask will let you cross through his fields so you can get on to the great ridge and win hill hike (approx 1 mile away) You can also borrow maps from the farm too. Parking is plentiful and Castleton is a short walk away, where you will find plenty of pubs. will definitely stay again.

Had a lovely time away for a couple of days. The farm is in a beautiful area of the peak District. Loved the 10/15 min walk to castleton through the fields. Made us feel very welcome and left us a surprise gift for our anniversary that was a lovely touch.

Fantastic location for walking, lovely owners, and amazing breakfast. We had the double room with a separate bathroom. It was good to have a separate bathroom as it had both a fantastic power shower and a bath. Our only negative point would be that the bed seemed like it had seen better days and so was quite uncomfortable! We also had to fold the pillows in half as the filling was stuck either side of the case. Time for them to be replaced. We would love to return but we would need to know that the bed and pillows had been replaced.

The stay at Dunscar Farm was amazing! I've read a few reviews before booking and I expected it to be nice, but actually being there was a completely different experience. We really enjoyed the silence, being so close to nature, to the animals, yet so close to the small village of Castleton (which is at a 10-15 minutes walk). The village is lovely, it feels like going back in time for a while, but still, it has lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The farm is lovely, the morning breakfast was delicious and so full! We had coffee, milk, cereals, orange juice, fresh fruit, a full English breakfast, toast, and jam. It was absolutely delicious. The rooms were very cosy and everything was so pretty, from tableware to paintings. Our room had a lovely view of the garden, which was so nice. Not to mention that the hosts were very nice and kind! Overall, I couldn't recommend it enough! Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I were very lucky to have chanced upon Dunscar Farm B&B's last available room for the long weekend. We loved our stay so much and didn't mind the short walk to Castleton at all. Gary and his team were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were nice, cozy, and homey. We definitely recommend this place if you plan to go hiking at Mam For, Back Tor, Loose Hill, and Winnats Pass.

i received a friendly welcome from Gary. this place is in a brilliant location. so peaceful, yet so close to Castleton. breakfast was great. the only very slight negative was the shower in my room. it was a bit dated and took a while to warm up. apart from that, everything was great and i would definitely return. ( in fact i tried to re-book whilst there, but it was already full for the dates i needed.)
