Incompetent staff overlooked by a deceitful store manager at Oxford Dreams store. Their customer service ends the moment they receive payment for their goods and their work ethics thereafter is non existent. I was initially sold a bed with delivery but no assembly, store manager never mentioned the fact that I would have to self assemble the bed. There was no mention of assembly when our order was being taken and contract signed. We walked away assuming the bed would come with assembly as usually with Our orders from Furniture village they always have this taken care of. later speaking to the manager rather than an apology or solution to his error I was told that "I should've read the fine print" which reinforces the fact that he did not ask or even mention assembly when placing taking our order.This was our first let down by dreams! And there's more. Second disappointment was trying to arrange delivery date for my order, my call was received by a very rude member of staff. Who I felt was half asleep and wanted to end the call promptly. I asked for the next earliest slot available the man confirmed 14th of August was available which I promptly said yes to. However as I needed to amend my initial order to add assembly to it, I was advised this needed to be done first. This took him 30minutes to do. I asked if he could please send me an update with the date and confirm assembly of the bed had been added. He said he would need to wait 15 minutes to go back in and book my date. I received a call later saying my bed had been booked for 28th August instead!! And the excuse given was the fact that they work on a live system and my slot had been taken by someone else when adding assembly to my order, Implying they did exactly what I wanted and therefore they're not at fault. Their words have no value and they cannot deliver to meet customer satisfaction. Had the incompetent staff member told me that I'd lose my slot I would have never sacrificed my delivery date and ensured I had this booked before adding any other amendments. When making my initial order I kindly asked the store manager if the bed could arrive a week before my wedding. He reassured me that they would! I'm now left with the bed arriving a whole week after my wedding. Sadly My experience has been terrible. Third disappointment, when Store manager was unable to help I demanded a refund after all this however I was told to contact customer services and that he could not help me. At this point I very much doubt your company ethics, which is reflected in your staff and therefore have a lack of faith in your products also. This was a huge blunder by the dreams Oxford team. you've dampened what should've been a new and exciting chapter of my life.

This is how Dreams treats their customers. We had a medical emergency this morning and were unable to be at our new address to collect the keys and accept the mattress. Dreams refused to reschedule, delay the delivery, return the mattress to their warehouse or drop it at the local Dreams store – anything that might make things easier. Instead, they left me waiting in the rain with a mattress while my partner was ill 60 miles away at home, after having to almost beg the driver to drive it less than a minute round the corner so that we could temporarily leave it with our estate agents. Dreams are a nightmare. Please buy your next mattress from a company that cares about their customers.

Went in not knowing what to expect, but a good experience. Sam helped us through the sleep machine and Jeff helped through choosing our mattress with good knowledge. Would recommend!

Went with a clear image of what I had in my head and had selected/bought products within an hour. Staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, especially Jeff, and the sleep match service is amazing! Would highly recommend this store if you are looking to replace your existing bed.
