Every single time. Best excuse is - we are extremely busy by covid-19. More than 3h trying to call them and same time im walking down to merridale medical centre...and whats i see...??? Reality is, they smoking, chatting and drinking coffee and dont care if phone is calling. That i saw my self... " THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK "

I’ve been using Merridale as my local GP for years now and i am constantly left disappointed with the services provided. It takes hours to book appointments, you’re left on hold for a long time then when you do get appointments you usually have to come back for more so it’s a never ending cycle. I spoke with them about my mental health and how i had been majorly struggling and i had about 2 different assessments (1 with mental health team and one with GP) and after being assessed they just left it. They didn’t call me back or help me with anything else they just stopped all assessments and i was alone trying to cope with my thoughts. I received zero help with my mental health. This type of service is absolutely disgusting when people are desperate for help and they need it, your services should be providing that. It left me feeling very helpless. Recently i called to try and get onto the contraceptive pill. I asked them to send my prescription to my local pharmacy and had to call them back as they hadn’t sent it to that location. I then only found out after calling that they hadn’t even sent the pill out yet. The lady told me they’d deliver the pill to that pharmacy the following day. So I called the pharmacy a couple days later asking if they had a contraceptive pill prescription waiting for me. They said they didn’t. So i had to them call the doctors back only to find out that they were changing my prescription and i needed to book an appointment with my doctor to speak with them. How am I supposed to book an appointment i have not been made aware of? I had no idea about this and nor did the poor lady on the phone. Unless you’re willing to chase the doctors up you’re going to struggle to receive help. Very frustrated with these services.

With the lock down being over, they still operate much still as we were in the height of the pandemic. It is impossible to see anyone face to face and all they will offer is ridiculous phone appointment, even my bank manager won't discuss some things over the phone! They don't care at all. They clearly don't care about patients anymore. It feels like the used the pandemic to get rid of all the people singed up for this surgery. It's so sad but after 17 years I signed out, I want to live no to be found with diagnosis that it's too late.

Merridale Medical is the best example of what lets down the NHS. Such notoriously poor service that I feel obliged to notify the Secretary of State for Health of the level of incompetence and basic level of care for patients. There is one member of staff Andy, who does go above and beyond but that is oy, from receptionists to the top absolutely abismal
