Given that it was very busy we were sat at our table promptly but not asked if we'd like a drink being that we knew we had a little wait before our order was taken. Food we ordered arrived swiftly, piping hot and delicious. Staff need to be a little more attentive. Other than that 'Thumbs Up'

Loved this Italian restaurant in The Laines! Great food, fabulous value for money. The Christmas decorations outside are amazing! Will def come back!

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel we were staying in. I ordered the pizza and my boyfriend ordered the gnocchi. The pizza was watery with a soggy base and had a very bland diluted tomato base and mediocre toppings. The gnocchi was bright yellow and looked and tasted like a microwave meal. Very disappointing after reading some great reviews. The only good part of the meal was the service from the waitress, who took the pizza off the bill.

We placed an order the eve before to pick up meal for 3 at 12pm on the Fri between Xmas + New Year for Mothers Birthday. It was fabulous, could not fault anything - the service was brilliant (ready + waiting for us), food was packaged beautifully + tasted fantastic. Great value + it made Mums Birthday. None of us wanted to eat in crowded restaurant so this was perfect solution. Thank you Donatello you did us proud.

Enjoyed the most delicious food and wine. as part of our Hen Weekend celebration in Brighton. Very good food portions and wonderful service. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I will certainly dine in this excellent and very good value restaurant when I visit Brighton again. I highly recommend this restaurant and take this opportunity to express appreciation and gratitude to all the staff and to the management.

Outstanding service, terrific food and ALWAYS a friendly welcome. Totally recommend this Restaurant, especially for a reasonably priced yet top quality meal. Whether you are going for a romantic dinner or as a family, it ticks all the boxes.

Amazing little Italian. Cocktails are lovely and food is out of this world! Price is really good as well. Atmosphere is great, a proper Italian atmosphere and feel to it. If you want Italian in Brighton don’t go anywhere else! This is the place to go. Always!

Haven't been to Donatello for years. It used to be great but has lost its shine. Nothing really bad, but nothing really great either. There is plenty of choice in the area and I would suggest you try one of those for a better all-round experience. You need to innovate and compete to stay on top in Brighton.
