I have been going to Directors Hair for 5 years now - I always have my hair cut by Olivia and I trust her with my hair completely! Olivia always gives me a cut that is exactly what I've asked for and which gives me confidence in my hair cut. I have rarely found another stylist that understands the way I like my fringe to be cut, as Olivia does. I moved away from Cambridge two years ago and still make a 50-mile journey to Cambridge to get my hair cut here and have introduced my mum to this salon who also now never goes anywhere else. Everyone at Directors is friendly and welcoming and the salon has a nice relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at Director's hair which really made my day. I opted for a cut by a stylist in training called Hannah who is already very skilled. The short hair cut she gave me was absolutely brilliant. She was supervised by her trainer/manager throughout and the whole experience made me realise how much more there is to styling hair than just a chat, cut and blow dry. If you choose to be a model for a trainee, give yourself enough time in the day and enjoy the experience of two people doing a fabulous job on your locks, rather than one. Bargain!

Last year, I had surgery for a brain tumour and am being treated for cancer. This has caused not only scalp sensitivity but also the hair to thin and fall out, in varying degrees at different stages. On three occasions, I have had outstanding and gentle service at Directors (in this case from Amber), who, suggesting quiet times in the salon for privacy, took the time to find out my concerns and what I wanted and provided advice and creative solutions to the very little hair that I have, not only in terms of style but also colouring. Many cancer patients choose to shave their heads and/or to wear wigs. Others like me choose to work with the little hair that they have. Directors helped me to feel feminine again.

Highly recommend this place if you want to look like you've had your hair cut by a 3 year old! Not only did the hair dresser cut my fringe way shorter than I had asked, but it was also wonky - to the point where everyone noticed, and thought it was hilarious! I paid £30 for this cut- that I had to cut and fix myself!! Disgraceful.
