We paid £40 each for a 30 minute treatment which included a couple of hours access to the hydrotherapy facilities in the spa. I’ll start with the cons... Unfortunately two of the wet facilities weren’t working on the day we visited. But the working areas were nice, apart from fifteen minutes where a couple of workmen were coming in and out quite loudly to try and fix the broken facilities. Sadly the “relaxation area” all seemed quite tired, as did the changing rooms. The changing facilities were also a bit dirty, and there was a lot of hair in the plug-holes, black mould on the tiles etc. And in some areas the music seemed very loud. Now to the pros! The two staff we saw working were absolutely fantastic! Really friendly and professional. Our therapist was Clarice, and all three of us had a great experience! She was courteous and calm, and - most importantly - very good at performing the treatments. The girl on reception (didn’t catch her name) was also really helpful. I really feel for the students, staff and everyone else at the university after the year they’ve all had. It’s easy to understand how some of the facilities could slip a bit. Safe to say we probably didn’t see this place at its best. But we’d definitely go back and try it again.
