TL:DR Bad attitude and lying receptionists I was informed that I should fill out a form to register for a GP, the woman on reception had an attitude apparently because they were busy even though all the seats were empty, she noticed that I hadn't put my email address in the ambiguously laid out form and so I gave it to her and went home to only receive a call later to say that the form could not be submitted because there was no signature The only way that that form was to be submitted was if I was to come in again and sign it and no other option was available like submitting the form first so I can get registered and then I could sign it later due to me being disabled , I informed her that it was a significant effort for me to return all the way there to give a signature only to submit the form that they already had which had been filled out by me earlier. When I asked why the practice manager was unable to use their common sense the girl hung up on me! Apparently asking a difficult question is considered abuse. Later when I managed to make it in to sign the form her old lady colleague on the desk with her jumped up to say that I was abusing her colleague , I asked her if it was common procedure to hang up on a vulnerable person which she was unable to answer. this, is apparently, abusing someone that clearly made a mistake and error which they were not willing to take responsibility for. the defensive old lady said that she had had a word with the GP previously and they said that I could not be registered although, I could see that she hadn't moved from her seat since the last time I was there. this is a very unprofessional way for staff to behave and to take matters into their own hands without seeking the advice of knowledgeable professionals such as the practice doctor. (unless the practice doctor also is the type of person to hang up on a vulnerable person?) I find this unprofessional attitude from medical professionals to do harm where medical practitioners swear to do NO harm. The way she blatantly lied to a vulnerable disabled patient is unconscionable and needs to be addressed immediately. it is no wonder other reviews explain about the bad attitude of the receptionists in this place. I recommend that the reception staff who are the first point of contact for all patients should have proper training in professional attitude and dealing with disabled and vulnerable people. if you are thinking of registering here for a GP be prepared for some bad attitude and long wait times, there are many other GP surgeries available in the vicinity and they would be much better dealing with you. I cannot recommend a visit to this health centre because on all occasions my contact with the staff there was less than acceptable and evidently they're only able to follow procedure even in the face of common sense and pragmatism. I can only imagine that this bad attitude runs down from the top and as such, would not be willing to see a GP in this practice.

Terrible, you turn up on time but be prepared to wait at least 20 mins you get seen. They take ages in releasing prescriptions to Pharmacy2u, twice now I’m running out before they have even confirmed it to them (2 weeks), they don’t take prescription requests over the phone yet you can’t get an apt unless you ring at 8am the same morning. This is a repeat I’ve taken for 18 years as well so it’s to be taken daily and is dangerous if you just stop. I could go on but I’ll be here all night so please just stay away

I have been with this surgery many years and have seen so many changes and more pressure on staff yet they continue to face and deal with things which must be quite tough. The respect you give them will be what you receive back. It isnt always easy to be see but that is apparent in any gp surgery. I always get helped and supported when I've needed it and have a good rappor with my gp who I trust. Dr nash and sharon as well as other receptionists have been very helpful and polite in times its needed.

2/ 5

My partner had a major eye surgery on his eye, Have to lie down flat for 2 weeks, I rang surgery to request that his eye drops would be on his prescription list, as he has to take Then for 4 weeks , As soon as they pick up the phone Paula was Aggressive and would interrupt me When trying to explain , At one point she said that my partner would have to come in a place what eye drops he wanted, obviously had not listened to me , Because he basically cannot see, and has to lie flat face down all day for 2 Weeks , this conversation took place, without her even asking his name , or even knowing what operation he had done, I am appalled at the lack of care and empathy, Bad practice, And because they don’t listen ,could put someone harms way, Oh and the econsult wasnt working that morning, Once I said that, Paula first port of call, Was To check That, obviously to make Sure we wasn’t tell Porkies, But didn’t ask for my partners Name until near the end of the conversation,Wrong attitude , Rude and aggressive, next time this happens will be taking it further, should not be in a front facing job, Putting you off, before she know the issues, more bad reviews than good, something must be done. I for one won’t tolerate this behaviour and if happens again will Take it straight to the top of the NHS
