I had a blood take in April which has really gone bad. It appears that the nurse hit a nerve. I told the nurse how I was feeling a horrible pain as soon as she inserted the needle to my vein but despite my complaint she did not remove the needle. Now 15 days later I still cannot use my arm as before, though it got better! But I want a full recovery and do not want to be botched in my 20's...just because they're not doing their job properly. My veins are pretty visible so I have no idea how someone can get it missed, never happened before. The photo I attached was taken 12 days after the blood draw and it's still bruised. Due to this I have decided to get private insurance and I better pay more money but at least I can expect a better service. Also it's worth to mention that since I do not see Dr. Glyde in the Derby Road GP anymore the GP has really sunk. Dr. Glyde was amazing and none of the doctors can be compared to her.

Wrote a prescription on monday. My wife Went to pick up my prescription and they said we csnt.give it.to her as its is a "violation.of privacy" eventhough she showed her id to them. Then when i went in on wednesday they said to give them a call so the doctor could write up the medicine. When i called they said its already done come and collect it. When i went on thursday they said to book an appointment with the.dictir. we are new.here but from the first week the reception staff have been of no help what so ever and are extremely rude. My old gp was so much better but had to move and now it is far away from us. It would be better for the surgery to get some new reception staff who can actually do their job. Thanks alot you have been of no help whatsoever and definitely a waste of my time filling out that form.

I have been a member of this practice for about 20 years. I cannot praise them highly enough. I phoned on Friday morning wanting an appointment. The receptionist asked if she could ask what I needed to see the dr for (important for triaging and they are very good if you say you don’t want to tell them). She then offered me a call back from the physio if that would suit me better and that if I needed a prescription for pain killers that could be called through to the surgery to be picked up. The physio called me within the hour, sent me some exercises to do and also a link for self referral for physio at St Mary’s. She then organised a prescription for me to pick up from the surgery. I then get a phone call from the pharmacist at the practice who told me there was a shortage nationally of this pain killer so said she’d call round the pharmacies to see who had the stock in. She then asked me if I’d like the prescription sending through to the pharmacy when she found some for me. I gave her 3 options and within the hour she called me back to tell me who had the stock and I could collect the tablets by the end of the day. What service! All from the comfort of my own home and excellent service. Can’t recommend them highly enough, practices come in for a bad rap and these have always been second to none.

I am feeding back as a local Pharmacy Manager based on my experiences with the GP surgery. This GP surgery are reliable at fulfilling repeat prescriptions for their patients which makes our job as pharmacy workers easier. Also, when we have been needed to signpost patients to the GP in cases where we have been unable to help (e.g. infections), this GP surgery have been able to see the patient & get treatment started efficiently. Our patients also feedback that they find Derby Road helpful when approached with a problem. Overall, an excellent service 😁

I've always been able to get an appointment fast. I've seen different Doctors/ Nurses almost every time but they have all been great, patient, and helpful. Online system is really helpful and the econsult service is great.
