We recently spent some time working with Chris and Alex at Della Kaur for our wedding bands and absolutely loved the experience. My husband brought in two old family rings which Chris melted down to turn into a new, custom ring with a lot of personal history baked in. Having followed Chris's advice on the shape for the inside of the ring, my husband often remarks on how comfortable it is. Meanwhile I had bought my wedding band off the internet however it turned out to be about 1/4 - 1/2 size too small. Chris very patiently sized it, filing it gently rather than melting it or adding any metal to it so as to not disturb the settings of the diamonds. Everyone in the shop is very warm, friendly, knowledgable and honest. Plus they are exceptionally dog friendly, an added bonus!

My husband-to-be and I had moved from the US to the UK following our engagement and he was committed to having a wedding band made that would complement my engagement ring (he had worked closely with a jeweler stateside to design my engagement ring which has a bit of an unusual taper to the band). We stumbled upon Della Kaur while walking through Cambridge and instantly felt at ease with Alex and her team. The whole experience of having the band designed was wonderful (as someone who would have otherwise just walked in, picked out a band, and left, I cannot stress how special it was to have gone through this process and to have formed a relationship with Alex and Chris). Beyond the perfection of the wedding band (it is deceptively simple!), I also entrusted Della Kaur to complete the personalized engraving and to rhodium plate/polish my engagement ring - both rings arrived back exactly to specification, in beautiful order, and well within the timeframe provided. I cannot wait to share our professional wedding photos of the rings with Alex and her team once we receive them - they have earned every ounce of praise given.

My husband has bought several special gifts for me from this lovely shop. Their jewellery is very classy, just a little different with price ranges to suit most budgets. The service is always friendly, and extremely helpful, they strive very hard to please. This is a very personal service that cannot be bought on the internet. Although I have attended the jewellery makes classes they look very interesting. I really recommend this wonderful business

We recently bought wedding rings from Della Kaur. Never having previously worn a ring, we were initially rather bewildered by the vast range of options they offered, but Alex was endlessly patient in explaining all the choices and comparative costs. We picked up our customised rings last week, and are delighted with the final result. The team were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful, and Alex kept us clearly informed at each stage of the process. We wholeheartedly recommend Della Kaur for an expert and very personalised service.

What a fantastic place and people. The process of designing my wedding ring was excellent. We had a vision in mind which was a little unusual but Della and Chris were totally on board and created something that i will love forever. We have popped back several times and it's like visiting old friends. Would highly recommend.

Lovely day yesterday on the Silversmithing workshop at Della Kaur in Cambridge. The whole team were really helpful and friendly (managed to kindly make a late workshop date change with no fuss at all) and the tutor was first-rate. Helen demonstrated everything really clearly, with all the materials laid out at the work stations ready, and offered guidance and help whenever needed. Definitely recommend. I love the bangle I made!
