For such a big and well promoted local facility, it should be much better looked after. Huge potential, should easily be one of the best around for miles, but this is a facility for kids to play football (amongst other things) and the surface simply is not prepared well enough. My son played here a few days ago, the grass was freshly cut but was very thick and long, ten year olds simply could not kick the ball hard enough to make it move more than a few feet. Adults would have struggled with a passing game. Possibly suitable for rugby, but even then I'd question the grass length. For all the noise the club makes about how well they look after and prepare the surface .... I'm not even sorry for saying that this is the worst surface my kids have to play on in their travels. Even the home coaches complain openly and loudly about how unplayable it is. Pretty poor, De La Salle....

Very well maintained fields. Licenced club house. The small carpark is totally inadequate when there are matches being played. Many of the surrounding streets are zoned for residents only parking.

De La Salle Grassroots football club have teams across all age groups from under 6 to adult. There are 6 football pitches of differing sizes to allow teams to play 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11. In recent years, poor weather conditions have seen the grass become unplayable, but with a new chairman and leadership team, along with a focus on pitch management, it's fair to say the playing surfaces have been fantastic. The only disappointing part is that dog walkers see grass and assume it's ok to walk their pets despite the clear signage requesting otherwise.
