Aaah, Darussalam... The Home of Peace. Enter, if you will, this modern day English castle, nestled on the Hayes, Southall borders, and it's royal denizens guarded by the black waters of the Grand Union canal! As you enter these forbidden gates, park your 🐎 and embark to the front doors, cast an eye to your right, where the flowerbed now replaces the ancient mini-moat! Enter, and pauseth ye not at the spacious, tiled toilet and ablutions area, nor cafe/shop, but hasten ye, in a spin, up the spiral vortex, passing the entombed library like knights in the darkest night, and ye shall reacheth the hallowed grounds of the sprawling main prayer hall. Here, gathered be the faithful, behind the young or old imam (they have a rota!), awaiting the pleasant call of the muadhin, that is like a lullaby to these singed ears! Welcome ye, of all faiths and none, to our masjid# Darrusalam mosque, Southall, London.
