I have had high temperature for 6 days and I called for an appointment and they told me to take paracetamol. I was explaining them that I was taking for all these days and the temperature was not going down and they told me to try it again. They told me to take again paracetamol so I can put the temperature down but she didn’t seem to hear or understand me when I was telling her that it doesn’t help me to put down the temperature.

Very simple place to book an appointment. Walked in, no fuss, asked to be seen to some time in the future. Received a text confirmation stating date and time of appointment. Staff are professional. Came in a few weeks later, my problem was seen to with maybe only a 5 minute delay which is understandable considering how busy they can be sometimes. Overall great experience.

Had such a terrible experience with a nurse today who told me they didn’t see the point in diagnosing me and did not listen to a single symptom I described. Just prescribed me antibiotics and sent me on my way. Would not recommend this place to anyone

Has to be one of, if not the worst surgeries in Northampton. Receptionist's are very rude and think they own the surgery. You can never get an appointment when you need it, i have a serious illness and in need of an appointment, which i can't get after trying for 2 weeks. You never get to see a doctor, most likely off playing golf! The surgery is a disgrace.

In the 4 years I’ve been with this surgery I’ve always struggled to get appointments, been told to call back the next day, been rushed through appointments without being able to discuss an issue fully and felt truly like just another number. Very disappointed.

Im only giving 3 stars because its a mix of experiences. It really depends if you are lucky to be sent to a caring and interested person or not. I called with symptoms and was attended really well. I was immediately invited for a checkup and got my medication prescribed. although my partner called in on same day from the same household with same symptoms and didn't receive the same good service . The doctor didn't seem too interested in any other symptoms rather than one and didn't prescribe anything or offered an appointment. Later that night we had to seek help from 111 who funny enough prescribed her what ive been prescribed. It's a matter of luck people.. Trial and error. If you not happy with the outcome ring again and persist. Another con is that often their phones don't connect.. Often i get a busy tone. Their repeat prescription works well through the online system. It's a bonus.

If I could give 0 out of 5 I would. The doctors and nurses here are dangerously negligent, and it seems malpractice is something they simply do not care about. Below are a number of encounters I have had with them. 1) I had a constant headache, struggling to breathe and lost a stone in a week. Their diagnosis: I needed my eyes testing. What the issue actually was: I had glandular fever, which was diagnosed by an out of hours surgery in seconds. 2) I asked to try anti-depressants as I had suffered a self-harming relapse, something I have struggled with since I was little. When ordering my first prescription, I saw the GP had listed in his notes for me that I had never experienced urges to self harm - THIS WAS THE SOLE REASON I HAD ASKED FOR HELP IN THE FIRST PLACE! He simply did not listen to me or care for what I was saying. 3) Way back in 2016 I asked to be referred to the nearest Gender clinic. When I asked if it could remain confidential (keeping in mind I was 20 at this point) they said they couldn't guarantee it. I was only informed years later by a therapist that THIS IS MALPRACTICE. I tried to get a referral again a few years later and THE DOCTOR TRIED TO TALK ME OUT OF IT. 6 months after that I called the gender clinic who confirmed THEY NEVER RECEIVED MY REFERRAL. The waiting lists are now over 3 years, wheras if I'd been referred when I asked to be referred, the waiting list was only 6 months. I'm completely disgusted - their negligence is life-threatening. If it wasn't for the fact that I truly belive the NHS is vitally important for this country, despite my bad experiences with this particular surgery, I would be taking legal action. I will be changing my doctors as soon as possible, and I urge anyone still with this surgery to do the same.

I would give negative points if possible. Completely uncaring doctors. ( One doctor walked out on my child when he was having s fit and I had call the ambulance to the surgery). Got prescribed medication with serious known side effects without discussion and doctor blamed me for taking the medication. Uncaring doctors and reception staff. Avoid!!
