Lovely place to visit in any weather. Beautiful grounds, great little shops. Kids huge playground. Large grasslands (just watch where you walk, some ppl don't pick up after their dogs 💩😖) and lovely creek to sit by and reflect about what life was like 200 yrs ago.

Visited Restoration Shop - very good choice of clothes , knickknacks, food and drink. Welcomed in to restaurant for coffee and scones - best scones we have tasted in months and my coffee was excellent. Staff very pleasant. Recommend. Returned few days later- plate of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup awesome, my wife said beef bagel 'scrummy' - again a triumph.

You know what. We could argue about their car park prices. It is a fantastic place to go dog walking (that's the reason I go anyway) but I think they should look at their pricing. Coming as a family of 5 for the whole day bringing a picnic? £3 is a bargain! Coming to walk your dog in the rain for 45 minutes? £3 is a rip off (imo). Dunno how they fix that. I love the place but have been going elsewhere (usually) since they brought in the pricing. I know others are the same. However, anytime I do go now the place is heaving with people happy (our at least prepared) to pay so maybe I'm in the minority.
