I've been a patient at the surgery for three years. In recent times I have been quite frustrated. I follow the protocol, which is to ring every morning at 8am to book an appointment. Everytime I ring it takes a while to actually get through to the phone. Always busy and beeping till at least 8.30am. When i do get through to their phone, I wait at least 30 to 45 minutes until I speak to a receptionist. Only then to be told that there are no appointments and to ring again the next morning. They always mention that they've not got enough reception staff to answer the calls on time and apologise. It's every day. I already have anxiety phoning in the doctors anyway, but to be told everytime there's no appointments it puts me off even more to go and see the doctor. I went in person today, to a quite surgery we're there was no patients in the waiting room. In hope that I would get an appointment finally. I was told again there were no appointments, would I like to book one for next week. I said yes please. She had a look for an appointment next week, to my disappointment there were no appointments available at all for next week. She then told me to ring out of hours or ring in next week at 8am. What's the point when I have been told there are no appointments and then to be on phone for over an hour to get the same treatment again. Sick to death of their being no appointments to see a doctor. If the number of patients is increasing get more doctors and receptionists! I will be changing my surgery.

Astonished that I was not informed that I do not have to pay for prescriptions for cancer treatment! At a stressful time this is a fundamental piece of information to take away financial worry. Communication needs to be improved here!

Very disappointed with the service they provide. It's almost impossible to get through to someone for an appointment, the phone just bleeps for a good half an hour before a receptionist is available to take a call. They need to improve the quality of their services quickly!
