The food is terrible The beds are hard hard The staff have little interaction with patients They don't take people out as there are no facilities only too local shop once or twice a week There no space and rooms are small The front yard is a joke more like a cage The psychiatrist was giving me oral as well as injection which there not supposed too do of the same medicine. Your hospital is more like a prison. Screw you

My son was incarcerated in the Wyke institution, supposedly for his own protection, the place is run like a prison, infact prisoners have more rights, you are supervised on visits, you only have a hour to see your family member and you have to book your appointment to see you, re own family

May I say a big thank you to all the ward staff and Consultants on Austen and Branwell wards for the care you gave to my son, the time he spent with you worked wonders, the reason being you listened to him and let him be part of his care plan, you trusted him and more importantly he trusted you, hope his progress at the next unit is half as good thanks again, It would not be right to name staff but the Consultant and Doctors didnt hold court they had an air of normality at meetings which allowed my son to be himself and take part well done all
