What sort of gift shop requires entry by appointment only with no further information being published related to the same on Google Maps. The brick and mortar shop leaves no further information to even make such a viewing beyond a email address. Owner should ask themselves if this is appropriate for a shop mainly frequented by tourists who may only be in the city for a weekend. Seeing the owners response highly reflects on their attitudes towards customers. Avoid.

I could not get back to Scotland and I was disconsolate. THEN I remembered Cranachan & Crowdie and the great job they did with my Christmas gifts so I e-mailed and asked if they could work their magic again. They said "Yes"! I just got my box of goodies and it is almost like being there!

Visited last October while on holiday - such a lovely shop, with loads of nice things to take back home (perfect for taking some good cheese back home). From candles to decorations to cheese, you're sure to find something you'll like. Shop assistants were lovely and very helpful.

A must-go shop if you're ever in Edinburgh. A lovely boutique of high quality hand-made Scottish foods, spirits and objects - a far cry from the tat you get from your average tourist shop! Beth seems to personally know many of the people who make the beautiful things in her shop, which is a nice touch. We'll definitely make it a point to visit again next time we're in town!

5/ 5

Absolutely recommend this store to all of those who are sick and tired of the same Royal Mile souvenir shops over and over again. Cranach and Crowdie offers authentic Scottish souvenirs to bring home, and their offer reaches from foods, to whiskies, to Tweed bags, pet utensils and very beautifully illustrated tea cups. Rest assured, you’ll find a nice souvenir here.
