I'd been here for my birthday several times before deciding to come here for my hen do. We booked with them 4 months in advance and stated we would have 3 vegans and do they provide a vegan cheese option, they said yes they provide a "fantastic" selection of vegan cheeses. We chased them up with a few questions during this time. Including one asking if we are definitely okay for the date as they had announced they would be selling their establishment. It was a struggle to get an answer to any questions which made the process very stressful as the date got closer. The general staff didnt know aanswers to our simple questions and the owners/managers were never around. Luckily this venue was only one part of my hen because boy was it disappointing. The private room was dirty. In the end they didnt provide any vegan cheese so the vegans ate a plain leafy salad with a couple grapes and no dressing, but were still charged the full price. I think they even said they forgot about the vegans... despite us booking so far in advance! And speaking to them the week before. They said we could play our own music and they didnt have such facilities available to us so were left listening to some oldie worldie cd in their dark and sticky room. The drinks they provide are fantastic and the food I had was good, but it was an absolute shambles. The owners seem disorganised and away with the fairies and rude. It was so disappointing, I havent been back since and definitely won't be. I get that mistakes happen and they are only human but honestly their attitude has put me off ever returning.

I love going to Cox and Baloney's and today I took my children for afternoon tea. We felt quite spoilt with the level of attentiveness, it's not easy to please an eight year old boy and two seventeen year old young ladies when it comes to a place to eat! There was a great selection of drinks, sandwiches and cakes which were beautifully presented. My daughters are very impressed with the decor, as am I. When we left all three of my children asked when we are going back! Five stars from the Woods family!
