Cottrell Park Golf Resort cardiff

Played 18 holes at the Mac course. Nice set up, well kept fairways and excellent greens. Fairly challenging. Staffs were friendly. I left my phone in the bag of a rented set. Called the club the next day and they helpfully located the phone for me to collect the next day. Very kind of them.

Great course. Wonderful parkland with amazing trees throughout. Also loved the planted borders. Thoroughly enjoyed our away day here.

We stayed for 2 nights accommodation. We didn't play golf so I cannot comment on that, but I think the coach house was pretty great overall. Really pretty setting and well furnished. However I've got to mark it down because there were a few flops. First of all, the AC in one of the rooms (ground floor apartment) was broken and it was freezing in the room! The bathroom door handle broke and we had to let each other out from the other side of the door. And the water was a bit funny in the shower... it went from blazing hot to freezing cold without any apparent reason. The sink water in the bathroom was either too hot or too cold too. But it was a nice stay overall.

The place was surprisingly full for a Wednesday lunch time. Five of us ate in the bar - the first visit for all of us - and all were happy with the food and service. Limited vegetarian options - though the veggie lasagne I had was delicious. Generous portions & a beautiful location. Recommended.

Went here recently to attend a friend's wedding. What a place! The reception was held in the marquee area. Stunning location, enormous event space, lovely decorations and helpful staff. If you're looking for a wedding / event venue then check it out!

Our wedding day. Fantastic! From start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about the day. So organised, so well executed, staff clearly caring about us and all our guests. The rooms were beautiful. The food was absolutely fantastic. All staff were particularly attentive, asking at intermittent points if everything was ok for us. The DJ was excellent. All in all an absolutely brilliant experience! If we have another event to celebrate we will definitely be back.

Had a great trip to Cottrell where they were very accommodating for my Brothers sophisticated stag trip! Special thanks to Nicole who was superb in helping me organise, weather just about held up for a beautiful round on the button course. Highly recommended
