Convenient supermarket that opens till late. Staff are friendly and there is a good variety and quantity of products on offer including a small selection of electrical goods, definitely enough for anything you would need for a weekly shop. However the selection of fresh produce is a tiny bit limited and may not be super fresh all the time, probably due to low footfall.

It's amazing, really good range of stock, absolutely lovely staff, incredible opening hours, super quirky old school co op, I've just moved local to here and I love it, definitely a best kept secret. It's very scruffy and they only occupy 2/3 of the premises. It's not properly fitted out but clean and there's plenty of space for cat spinning or ballroom dancing. It's due for a refit and that will be the end of everything that is wonderful right now but in the meantime, come along, enjoy the experience, maybe pick up a second hand book that they have on sale raising money for local charities. Enjoy, before the shop fitters come along and ruin it with their cc interiors, come check out the huge range of ice cream, fudge and promptly marked-down goods before the computerised systems ruin it all and leave the shop with a poorly chosen and homogenised selection of branded goods. Before bargain obtains the same status as many four letter words. Until that day I love, love, love the Scala, it's the best shop in Bath and long may it remain overlooked by head office, it's just what the Co Op means to me.

They are the only store I know of which still stocks uncle Ben's vegetable pilau rice so it's a thumbs up from me! Shame that the peacocks inside closed, hope something will fill the space. Chocolate rich tea biscuits?! Whatever next

Love this place: spacious, calm, pleasantly chilled feel. Fine selection of nuts and baked goods. Once went in and they were playing The Clash and Bob Dylan.
