Co-op Food – Canton cardiff

On the whole it's a great sizeable store. I've given 5 stars due to the service and help I always get from Catherine; she's so focused on customers. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the majority of the staff there; like today. I walked to the till and the member of staff serving seen me coming but walked from the till to place an item back on a shelf = I mean come on! Customer should be the priority, put stock back when there's no customer or get another member of staff to re-stock. Other staff members need to be customer focused like Catherine. The manager needs to be present on the floor too. I'm a regular in this store and never seen the manager.

In store cash machine is useful. A good range of products generally available. Friendly helpful staff. Well used store, such that supplies sometimes don't keep up with demand.

Wide variety of products. Open early, closes late. A good local shop.

This Coop is nice and spacious, a decent selection of quality products and friendly staff. There is plenty of room for social distancing and there is also a grand assortment of vegan groceries available here.

I am giving this Co-op branch one star, the outside of the building is very shabby, bits of the signage are missing, it is dirty, paint peeling from the outside boarding, the inside is not a lot better, the car-park is often littered with rubbish and with charity bins overflowing. Not what you would want when visiting a local food store. I notice that in Pontcanna there are 2 new stores both clean, tidy and well stocked. The Co-op needs to update the Cowbridge Road branch pretty soon at the risk of losing customers.

Friendly, helpful staff. A good co-op, clean and well stocked. A bit expensive for a big shop.
