Having moved to Renfrew 4 years ago, I have only recently had the need for a doctor. To be honest I was a bit loathe to leave previous family doctor of over 25 years. I have found the service here 2nd to none. Considering the difficult times we find ourselves in with the current pandemic, I have found staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The advantage of being able to order prescriptions online without the need to take time out of your day to visit the doctor is a major plus. As well as this, if the doctor needs to speak with you they aim to get back to you within 2 hours and in my experience are as good as their word. Fabulous service all round with the advantage of modern technology making things easier not only for patients but for the staff also I would hope! I truly wish I had joined this surgery when I initially moved here 4 years ago.

The receptionist at the Wishaw Practice is extremely rude. I would recommend that your staff go on a customer service course. Hopefully all phone calls are recorded. If this is the case, I would ask that you listen to the phone call that took place at 10.31am on 2/7. I'm sure this would be good content for a training course.

Worst doctors ever wont answer phones and when you go online they ignore you too. Chronic foot pain and they give me pain killers that don't work. Please don't join this practice.

Since the day I was forced to change practice to this one (7 years ago for argument sake) I've encountered a service where the primary aim seems to be to fob you off. Multiple times the phrase 'What do you want me to do about it'?! has been uttered by multiple members of staff on different occasions indicating an endemic attitude, whether it's they believe you are wasting their time, they have unreasonable constraints placed upon them, or whether it's that they just don't care - I honestly can't say, it's just something which sticks out as you really don't expect it from doctors. I'm now of the view that given the choice, I'd opt out of the NHS and keep the money forcibly taken from myself and my company via taxation for my "free care at the point of need". That may be unfair of me towards our hospital services but it's how I think and feel now. At this stage the internet is my GP/medical care and it's a worthy improvement within reason despite requiring further investment. On a different note, with the online service I've noticed both the reception and "care" has become a lot more prompt. Found it a little confusing to use at first as the website could be better but responses were prompt during my recent use of this. When you get a response it will delete shortly afterwards so best to screenshot what is said if you need/wish to keep records. If you can use the online service I think you'll find it to be an improvement on what it used to be like phoning the reception in hope getting an appointment. Credit where it's due.

The reception staff are almost always rude, most of the doctors are also rude and blame you for your illnesses. The online site is never working and the phonelines have a 2 minute long automated wait before you get hung up on.
